DONE!

After a long and hectic last few weeks this NorthernPrincess is finally done with her first semester of graduate school. She is feeling a little emotional about the whole thing but is so glad to be done, the weekend was spent partying and chilling with good friends and company in the cities. While the NorthernPrincess was supposed to come home on Saturday she extended her stay to take care of Heather and her sprained ankle and to soak in some much needed down time. Lots of naps and movies and days in bed all weekend made this NorthernPrincess feel whole again, a little less stressed and ready for the drive back to Nebraska. While she was supposed to get cleaning and packing done today, she instead took in more T.V. time and will just have to get everything done tomorrow before heading off to Omaha for the first of many visits to friends and family over the holiday break. While a little leary of spending two weeks at home with nothing to keep her occupied this NorthernPrincess is excited to see her ma and dad and buddy big dog and the rest of the fam.
Feeling a little nostalgic, NorthernPrincess sat and pondered the good thing that have happened since moving to the icy, cold northland. The following list sums up most of what has been going on for the last 6 months.

1) NorthernPrincess finally has a since of who she is.
2) NorthernPrincess found out that she can make it on her own.
3) NorthernPrincess has met and befriended some truly amazing people that have helped change her life.
4) NorthernPrincess knows that there will be a day when things do not seem so hard and that no matter where she is, she will always have love and support and a place to go home to.

While she can't wait to get a move on out of St. Peter tomorrow, NorthernPrincess probably won't leave until mid-afternoon because Omaha friend has to work until 9, which gives this NorthernPrincess time to pack, clean, and prepare angry kitty for the drive. Although she wants to get home quickly an overnight stop is necessary in Omaha to see an old friend on the way to reintergrating herself back to life in Nebraska, back to a life she feels to far removed from these days, back to a life that feels normal, a life that she has missed but knows will never be the same.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to all. I hope to see most of you when I am back home. I love you all.
