Greetings again from the Northland! Today is much better then yesterday. I actually had human contact other then that of the gas station attendant. I went to lunch with one of the other TA's and the ADOF here. It was fantastic. We gossiped, chatted, got fair warning of things and learned that I am the favorite new TA thus far. I win the game. Hopefully going out to the bars tonight as long as Jess calls me. I really really hope she does. I am going up to the cities tomorrow night so that will be good to see KristinFriend and feel some familiarity.
YEA.... I started unpacking my room! I can actually find stuff kinda. It is a process. I figure I will have it all done by the time and the other TA's get here and the fun start.
BTW it is really really friggin hot here. Like hotter then Nebraska. I am not kidding. I thought the northland would be better but oh boy was I wrong.
Good News newBoss told me where the post office is here in detail so I am going to go and tackle that once my hour of internet is done. Unfortunately once I find the post office I will have nothing left to search for. So I will have to find something else to fill me days wondering about. I guess I could find a place to go and get my haircut but I don't know if I am ready for that yet. Although if you all saw my eyebrows you would rush me to the nearest waxing place. I was thinking that if I avoid waxing my eyebrows maybe I will start to look like a true northerner and wont be so out of place, but then again I don't think that I could ever do that to myself.
Other good news I have avoided a horrible accent thus far. It is kinda there but not totally yet. I think that once I start hanging out with people other then the cat and the lady at the gas station then it may come about not not yet. So that is good. Although if I don't wax my eyebrows and I have the accent I will truly be a northerner.....hmm will think that through later.
Anyways, I will let all of my loyal readers get back to what you were doing before you thought I would write something interesting and decided to check my blog. Sorry for the disappointment I don't have any friends yet. But I promise that once I find one, this thing will be much more interesting.
